Maltese Eurovision star Chiara Siracusa’s 2000 album What You Want featured four songs written by Jeff.  The album’s opening track Angel caused a lot of confusion a few years later when Malta entered Chiara in Eurovision 2005 with a second song by the same title.

Never Question Why was going to be a single release, though it finally just received radio airplay across Europe.  Chiara also entered it for the Eurocup Oldies Song Contest in 2005.  Never Question Why, Stars and Angel became part of the United Airlines inflight playlist.

Fighting For My Love had previously been recorded by Jeff for his 1995 album Attitude with the original lyric Fool Enough.  Jeff wrote the lyric Fighting For My Love for Chiara at the request of her Management, who wanted to relate the video to the much respected Maltese Military.  Never Question Why had been a 1992 single for Jeff and along with Angel had been released on Jeff’s 1995 album Attitude.  Angel had originally had a different lyric, and titled The Martyr And The Moon had been a b-side to Jeff’s debut single Gypsy Girl by Berry Lane.  He recorded it again in 1992 and released it as a b-side to his single Never Question Why.

December 1998, Chiara came to England to record an alternative version of Stars, the Celestial Mix, produced by Jeff Kristian and Paul Page, though this track was never commercially released.

Never Question Why featured on Jeff’s 1995 album Attitude.  The Martyr And The Moon had been release as a b-side to Jeff’s 1982 debut single Gypsy Girl by Berry Lane.  This version was a 1992 re-recording.  A lyric change and re-mix later, it became Angel, the b-side to Jeff’s 1995 single Reach Out (I’ll Be There) and a further track on the Attitude album.

Eighteen years after it’s first release as The Martyr And The Moon, Angel became the opening track on Chiara Siracusa’s 2000 album What You Want, along with her recording of Never Question Why.
