THE SPANGLES

THE SPANGLES

1979 – 1992

The Spangles were a meet-and-greet group for Gary Glitter when he returned from bankcruptcy to work the University circuit… before more dubious allegations!  Comprising of Jeff, Jeff’s cousing Jackie, Linda, Steve, Lynn and Martin, the Spangles travelled the country to hundreds of shows, tv and promotional appearances.

Never Question Why featured on Jeff’s 1995 album Attitude.  The Martyr And The Moon had been release as a b-side to Jeff’s 1982 debut single Gypsy Girl by Berry Lane.  This version was a 1992 re-recording.  A lyric change and re-mix later, it became Angel, the b-side to Jeff’s 1995 single Reach Out (I’ll Be There) and a further track on the Attitude album.

Eighteen years after it’s first release as The Martyr And The Moon, Angel became the opening track on Chiara Siracusa’s 2000 album What You Want, along with her recording of Never Question Why.
